The Manitoba Real Estate Shelter Foundation was created by realtors in 2007. Its mission is to raise funds for charitable organizations that support shelter-related causes that will improve the quality of life of Manitobans. The foundation is directed by a board of governors consisting of up to 10 realtor volunteers and up to two public volunteers. Total granted to 2015: $284,102 to 22 different organizations across the province such as Siloam Mission, Marymound, Habitat for Humanity, Esther House, Nova House and Ronald McDonald House.
